Well done. There are all kinds of injuries that can take a wrestler out of action, but there can also be some twists and turns. While there is always the chance that a wrestler could be seriously hurt, there is also the chance that it is part of a storyline. There seemed to be an injury this week on television but now things might not be as bad as they originally seemed.

This week’s Monday Night Raw match between Xia Li and Candice LeRae was stopped when Li kicked LeRae in the face and the referee determined that LeRae was unable to continue. LeRae was helped up and was later shown being checked out in the back. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the injury was not legitimate and was just part of the storyline taking place in the match. There is no word on when LeRae will return to the ring.

LeRae got rocked. Check out the match, plus her in better times:

Opinion: That makes sense, as it came off like a way for Li to look like a smashing machine rather than LeRae being seriously hurt. At the same time, WWE did a good job of setting things up and making LeRae look like she was in trouble. What mattered here was LeRae being ok, but WWE also did a good job of building Li up in a big way without even needing much time.
