Plans change. We are less than two months away from WrestleMania 39 and that means we should be in for quite a few major storyline advancements in the next few weeks. That can range anywhere from the top of the card all the way to the bottom, but either way, you can see the changes taking place rather quickly. Now though, we might not be seeing one of the bigger changes so soon.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Please Don’t Be Bad: WWE Star May Have Suffered An Injury
One of the ideas rumored during the Road To WrestleMania 39 was the splitting of the Undisputed WWE Universal Title into two titles, or possibly having a new title introduced. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the original idea would have seen Roman Reigns defend against the Rock on Night One while Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre fought for the other title on Night Two. However, since the Rock is not available, the plan was scrapped for the time being, though WWE does want to go back to two World Titles at some point in the future.
That could be a cool moment. Check out when new titles are introduced:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can take place every so often and it shakes up WWE in a lot of ways. After having Reigns dominate for so long, having something fresh could be quite the change of pace. Hopefully WWE has something good in mind to set everything up, as just introducing a new title into the mix is quite the tricky thing to pull off, no matter what is going on.
What do you think of the idea? How would you introduce a new World Title? Let us know in the comments below.
