So long? WWE has more content than it knows what to do with most of the time. Between Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT and all of the other shows, it can be hard to keep track of everything that WWE has going on. It can help to have a few other shows to recap the bigger ones, but now a rather prominent voice will no longer be on one of those specific shows.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul Heyman will no longer be appearing on Talking Smack, with Pat McAfee taking his place. There is no word on why Heyman is off the show, though there is nothing to suggest that he is in any kind of trouble. Talking Smack airs Saturday mornings on Peacock and the WWE Network and serves as a recap show for SmackDown.
Heyman was gold on the show. Check out some of his appearances:
Opinion: I’m not sure I get what WWE is doing here and it would not be the first time. WWE has a tendency to make some rather odd changes, seemingly at the drop of a hat, and that seems to be the case here. At the end of the day, this is a rather low level show and McAfee will be fine, but I will miss Heyman being on the show. Thankfully it doesn’t seem to be a problem, but rather just a change for the sake of a change.
What do you think of Heyman? Who else should he work with? Let us know in the comments below.
