They had an idea. There have been all kinds of stables throughout WWE’s history and some of them have been rather successful. Grouping wrestlers together has allowed various people to break out on their own and become much bigger stars. The association can help them, but there is not room for everyone. Now we are hearing stories about who almost came together into a stable.

In a series of posts on Twitter, MVP has revealed names who were considered for spots in the Hurt Business. According to MVP, he wanted both Cedric Alexander and Ricochet on the team but was only able to select one of them. Alexander was chosen as it was believed he needed the association with the team more than Ricochet. In addition, there were discussions of adding either Bianca Belair or Naomi to the team but WWE “had other plans” for both. The Hurt Business was active from 2020-2022 and included MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and Alexander.

Opinion: The Hurt Business was one of the best things about their era and it was kind of disappointing to see them shut down so quickly. The team was quite successful and MVP seems to have been one of the minds behind the idea. While their time seems to be done, there is something interesting about seeing the inner workings about how they were turned into what they became.
