It’s been a long time. In recent days, a lot of wrestlers have been released from the WWE roster, which has seen quite the shakeup as a result. Some of these names are stars who have not been doing much in recent months, which is where things can get interesting. We now have a better idea of why one of those names was released after a rather long time with the company.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Details On Four Recent WWE Releases, Why They Were Let Go
One of the names released from WWE this weekend was Sonya Deville, who had been part of the Pure Fusion Collective on Monday Night Raw. According to Fightful Select by way of Cagesideseats.com, Deville was released from the company as WWE did not see “upward trajectory” for her after ten years in the company. Deville’s last match with the company took place last weekend at the Royal Rumble.
She had a long run. Check out what Deville did in WWE:

Opinion: This is where things get interesting, as Deville was doing some good things in WWE but was never able to really get a big push going. I’m not sure why that took place, but it seemed like she was having a chance to do something here or there. Pure Fusion Collective only got her so far too, but I could have gone with giving them a better chance to actually do something.
