I love a good sense of humor with wrestling. The wrestling industry is in a weird place when it comes to pop culture. Almost everyone knows that it exists and there are going to be some names known to the masses, but there are several who are complete unknowns outside of the wrestling bubble. Sometimes those names are given a little boost outside of the bubble, and that is the case again.
One of the more controversial storylines in AEW’s young history is the Dark Order. The team did not exactly start off strong but they have improved quite a bit in recent months. With Brodie Lee as their leader, the team has even picked up a little bit of gold. Things are looking up for the Dark Order and now it seems that a whole company wants to be part of the team.
Earlier this week, a fan sent out a tweet asking some wrestlers to wish him happy birthday. Also included was Wendy’s restaurants, which Chris Jericho referenced while wishing the fan a happy birthday. Wendy’s responded by asking if they could join the Inner Circle, with Evil Uno responding by offering Wendy’s a spot in the Dark Order. Wendy’s agreed, asking if they could be #444, a play on their Four For Four offer. This is not the first time Wendy’s Twitter account has referenced wrestling, as they once tweeted in the style of Broken Matt Hardy.
Are you saying you want me to join the Inner Circle?

Can we be Number 444?

This could be quite the recruiting tool. Check out what else the Dark Order has to offer:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is always good for a chuckle and it is nice to see not only the wrestlers but Wendy’s going along with it. I doubt it happens but maybe this turns into some kind of a sponsorship deal of some kind. If not (and it likely won’t), it’s a cool little moment and might give AEW a bit of publicity, just because whomever runs the Wendy’s Twitter is a wrestling fan.
