Well Done: WWE Reportedly Very Happy With Surprise Appearance At Backlash

He did well. Backlash 2023 took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, marking WWE’s first major event in Puerto Rico in over eighteen years. The show featured a very strong crowd reaction as the fans were pleased with what WWE offered. This included a few cameos from local legends who worked for WWE in the past. One of them made quite the impression with the company.

Former Intercontinental and United States Champion Carlito made an appearance during the show, saving the LWO from an attack at the hands of the Judgment Day. According to Fightful Select, WWE officials were very happy with Carlito’s cameo, saying the crowd’s reaction was “even better than expected”. WWE has reportedly considered bringing Carlito back in multiple times over the years, but this was believed to be a one off appearance, at least for the time being.

Carlito had quite the return. Check out his appearance and previous time in WWE:

Opinion: Carlito did rather well in his time with WWE and the cameo made him feel like a legend rather than someone who was just popping in for a one off appearance. I could go for having him around more often, especially if he has fixed some of the issues that he had during his previous time with the company. If it was just a one off appearance, Carlito certain made a nice impression and that is a great thing.
