Well Done: WWE Internally Impressed With Recent Unique Segment

It went well. With so many thins taking place on any given week of WWE television, the segments can start to run together in a hurry. Every so often something stands out though and that is often because it is just different enough that it can go in a different direction. That was the case last week with something interesting taking place and it is being rather well received.

Last week’s SmackDown featured a sitdown interview with Michael Cole talking to Kevin Owens in Owens’ car. According to Fightful Select by way of Cagesideseats.com, the segment was well received backstage. The interview included Owens ranting about how he was betrayed by his friends and Cole telling him to look in a mirror. Owens is currently set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Title next weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Opinion: It was a unique segment and that is what helped it stand out. Owens is someone who is quickly losing his grip on reality and Cole was there to point it out. The whole thing looked so different from anything that WWE does and when you add in some good performances from either side, it was a very entertaining and interesting situation with both coming out looking good.
