Well Done: This Match And These Wrestlers Were The “Talk Of The Locker Room” After AEW Full Gear

It’s a good one. There are all kinds of wrestling matches that take place on any given wrestling show, especially the bigger cars presented by the major promotions. It can be a big deal when one of those matches is prominently featured, but it is an even more impressive feat for such other wrestlers to praise a match. That is what we are seeing again after a recent event.

Over the weekend at AEW Full Gear, Mercedes Mone defeated Kris Statlander to retain the TBS Title. According to PWInsider.com by way of Cagesideseats.com, the match was the “talk of the locker room” and the two received quite a bit of praise for their work together. The match saw Mone retain the title when she sent Statlander throat first into the middle rope and rolled her up for the pin.

Opinion: This is hardly a surprise as the match was quite impressive. The two of them beat the fire out of each other and did some good looking things, with both of them getting in some nice showcase moments. Mone has been presented as one of the biggest stars in the promotion for a long time now and there is no reason to believe that will be changing. At the same time, Statlander has shown that she is capable of hanging with just about anyone and that was the case again here.
