The main event of this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter defeat Hikaru Shida to retain the title in a match that ran over sixteen minutes. According to Fightful Select, the match is receiving universal praise backstage in AEW, with Hayter in particular receiving praise. Hayter’s cohorts, Britt Baker and Rebel, are also being praised for their recent work in transitioning to Hayter’s support. BJ Whitmer is also receiving praise for producing both this match and Hayter vs. Toni Storm at Full Gear.

Both have been on a roll. Check out what Hayter and Shida have been doing lately:

Opinion: I can’t say I blame AEW for the praise as the two of them have certainly earned the praise. Hayter and Shida put on a great match this week and that isn’t the biggest surprise. Sometimes you just find a groove and everything starts working, which certainly applies to them at the moment. The match is worth checking out and that really shouldn’t be a surprise given who was involved.
