That’s a new one. Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling as they are designed to show the top stars in a promotion. WWE has announced that its new Speed series will debut on Twitter on April 3. The series will feature wrestlers competing in three minute matches in a tournament, with the winner being crowned the first ever Speed Champion. There is no word on who will be competing in the tournament or how many wrestlers will be included. WWE announced Speed in February and has held matches in recent weeks, though it is not clear if they will be part of the tournament.

Opinion: I’m interested in seeing this idea in action as it is something that has a lot of potential. If nothing else, this is something where the show will go by rather quickly as it is going to be difficult to get annoyed at a match lasting three minutes. This could be something fun added to the start of a television taping and hopefully we should be in for a new concept with some energy behind it.
What do you think of the idea? Who would be a good fit for the concept? Let us know in the comments below.
