Change up? There have been all kinds of memorable moments throughout WWE’s history, including some that have probably not been seen in many years. While fans may have watched them in the first place, some of the details may have been forgotten over time. Now WWE seems to have made it even more difficult by erasing some of its own history right in front of your eyes.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: REVIEW: Monday Nitro – September 4, 1995: This Feels Appropriate Today
On Saturday, September 2, WWE posted a video to social media, showing Bayley turning on Becky Lynch on the same date in 2019. However, this version of the video, as shown compared to the original, has edited out Sasha Banks, now known as Mercedes Mone. In the new version, Bayley can be seen looking at someone to her side but no one is shown. There is no word on why the video was edited, though Banks did walk out on the promotion last year.
This is a weird way to go. Check out the original, the redo, and the fallout after the attack:
Opinion: This is about as WWE as you can get, as I’m not sure how much influence seeing Banks in a spot she was there for in the first place would change anything. Maybe it’s WWE just being petty, but it is the kind of thing that probably is not quite as important as WWE thinks it is. Banks was a big deal in WWE and was a champion in the company less than a year ago. Erasing her here and there is not going to change that.
What do you think of the change? Will Banks return to WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
