They have something here. It is no secret that WWE’s televisions audiences are not what they used to be. The drops in the numbers are staggering and shows that fans are not all that interested in what WWE is presenting. That being said, there is certainly still an audience out there and the trick is to make them watch something. It seems that WWE has found something to interest those fans.
Last week’s SmackDown ended with Edge making a surprise return and spearing Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Later in the week, a title match was made between the two for Money In The Bank. Since then, the clip of Edge attacking Reigns has been viewed on WWE’s YouTube account 4.3 million times. In the week before and the week since, only two other videos have broken two million views and nothing has been within a million views of the Edge/Reigns video.
It was a heck of a moment. Check out the big deal, plus some other popular videos from the week:
Opinion: I would think it is safe to say that WWE has found something with Edge vs. Reigns. Now the problem with that is getting it turned int business, as there is a big difference between watching a YouTube video and putting your money down on watching a show. If WWE can come up with a way to do something about this, they could have something here and that would be good for everyone.
