WATCH: Very Surprising New Pairing Teased This Week On NXT (This Was Out Of Nowhere)

Them? There are certain storylines that will pop up over and over again throughout the years. That is often the case because they work well every time, especially if the fans are already invested in the people involved. We saw another case just like that this week, as two people who are well received by the fans are seemingly being involved in quite the new story.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Backstage Reaction To Carlito’s Controversial Statement On Monday Night Raw

This week’s NXT featured Nikkita Lyons in a backstage segment with Tyriek Igwe and Tyson DuPont. As Lyons was talking to them, Oba Femi appeared and gave Lyons her cape, saying she had dropped it. Lyons thanked him, but Femi said “no, thank you”. While not confirmed, this could suggest that the two of them are set to be involved in some kid of an alliance, possibly even a romantic storyline. Neither were referenced throughout the rest of the show.

Opinion: The fans certainly reacted strongly to what they saw and that should make things interesting going forward. I’m curious to see where this is going and that should make for a good story if everything goes right. Femi and Lyons are quite the potential pairing in one way or another and it seems we could be in for seeing the two of them doing something rather out of their norm.
