WATCH: Two Surprise Returns Take Place This Week On NXT

They’re back. There are several differnet ways to bring a wrestler back and it can lead to various other interesting moments. You never know what you are going to be seeing when a wrestler returns but it can often likely lead to a showdown. Some of them are designed to be about revenge and we saw two such returns this week in a single show, both of which were surprises.

There were two surprise returns this week on NXT. First up, Sol Ruca made here return to television after an eleven month absence, attacking Blair Davenport, who was credited with her injury. Ruca has been wrestling on live events in recent weeks. Later, following the show’s main event, Trick Williams returned and attacked Carmelo Hayes, who had attacked him last month. There is no word on a match being set up between either pair.

Opinion: While Davenport vs. Henley sounds like an upcoming television match, there is a strong chance that Williams vs. Hayes is going to be taking place at Stand & Deliver, if not outright headlining the show. That is how you do something special by bringing the two of them back in one night and it made for an eventful night. It’s the busy season in NXT and now we are seeing the pieces coming together to make things more interesting.
