WATCH: Two Surprise Returns Take Place At WWE Royal Rumble

Welcome back? The Royal Rumble is quite the special event, as it features a pair of unique matches with sixty wrestlers total. That is going to create some issues as there are going to be several names needed to fill in the spots. We saw that take place over the weekend, with multiple stars coming back after some time away due to a variety of reasons. Both were welcomed back.

There were a pair of surprise returns in the Royal Rumble matches, with one taking place in each match. First, WWE Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus entered the Women’s Royal Rumble at #25 and eliminated Candice LeRae before being eliminated by Nia Jax. This was Stratus’ first match since Payback 2023. Later, AJ Styles returned from an injury for his first match since October, entering at #21 and eliminating LA Knight before being eliminated by Logan Paul.

Opinion: This is one of the best parts about the Royal Rumble and that is where things get more interesting as the countdown clock can reveal some great names. That is what we got here, as Stratus is a legend who can come back every so often and still make an impact. On the other hand you have Styles, and it is nice to have him back after being away for so long with a nasty injury.
