WATCH: Two Surprise Monday Night Raw Stars Appear On NXT

I know you. There have been some changes made to NXT in recent weeks, as the black and yellow brand has received some renewed attention. This has included a variety of extra guest stars, some of whom have been around NXT before. There have also been some names who have made their NXT debuts, and this week’s show saw one of each in a pair of surprises.

There were two WWE guest stars this week on NXT. First up, Gable Steveson appeared in a backstage segment and offered to help Eddy Thorpe in his upcoming Raw Underground match against Damon Kemp (Steveson’s brother). Later, following the main event that saw Seth Rollins defeat Bron Breakker to retain the World heavyweight Champion, #1 contender Finn Balor appeared and attacked Rollins. Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams made the save.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can help NXT feel like that much bigger of a deal. Main roster stars are higher on the totem pole than their NXT counterparts and that is what will boost NXT up. Above all else, Rollins appearing on the show felt like a huge moment, especially with Balor following him there. I could go for this kind o thing continuing, and it seems like we could be in for just that.
