WATCH: Two New Stars Added To The AEW Roster (In Very Different Ways)

They’re in. AEW has not even been around for five years yet several wrestlers have managed to become stars for the promotion. It can be a huge breakthrough for a wrestler to become part of the AEW roster, especially if they have already been around the company for a long time. Now AEW is adding some names to its roster and you might have heard of them before, albeit in different ways.

Two new names have been added to the AEW roster this week. During this week’s edition of Dynamite, a vignette aired featuring Darby Allin talking about how he helped bring Nick Wayne to AEW. Wayne, an 18 year old prodigy who wrestles on the independent circuit, will make his in-ring debut for AEW next week. Also, according to Fightful Select, Diamante has been promoted from a “tier zero” deal to a full time AEW contract. She has also been added to the AEW roster page.

Opinion: This is always nice to see as it can mean the world for a wrestler to get this kind of a chance. There are only so many spots on the AEW roster and good for the two of them for making it this far. Diamante has already been around for a very long time now and it is great to see her getting an official deal. Then you have Wayne, who is so young but has already shown so much that he is getting this chance. It makes things interesting and congratulations to the two of them for their accomplishment.
