That’s a different way to go. There are all kinds of ways to present wrestlers and one of the most interesting is showcasing wrestlers as superheros. Over the years, there have been several wrestlers who have been viewed as larger than life stars who can fight off just about anyone. Now a current WWE Superstar is getting that treatment in a way you do not see very often.

A trailer has been released for the upcoming animated series “Rey Mysterio vs. La Oscuriadad”, starring WWE’s Rey Mysterio (who appears in live action in the trailer). The show focuses on a Mysterio fan named Oscar who has to help a super powered Mysterio fight against evil. The show will air on HBO Max internationally, though there is no premiere date announced so far. It is not clear where or if the show will air in America.
This could be cool. Check out the trailer, plus Mysterio in action:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes all the sense in the world. Mysterio is one of the biggest stars WWE has ever seen and has come of as a superhero for most of his career. While he is physically small, he wears a mask and flies around the ring to take on people much bigger and stronger. Having him in a cartoon series as an actual superhero should go very well so hopefully this works out.
What do you think of the trailer? How willt he show go? Let us know in the comments below.
