That feels right. There are certain wrestlers who feel more naturals as either good or evil. While they can do the other thing, there is something about them that just fits better one way or another. It can be quite the change of pace when one of them is switched to the other side, but switching back to their natural state can just feel right. That is what we saw this week.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Flashback: WWE Seems To Be Bringing Back Another Classic Event After 20+ Year Hiatus
The main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite saw Daniel Garcia unsuccessfully challenge Will Ospreay for the International Title. Garcia had Maxwell Jacob Friedman in his corner and at one point during the match, Friedman offered his Dynamite Diamond Ring, with Garcia turning it down. Following the match, Friedman attacked Garcia and left him bleeding, turning heel again in the process. This is Friedman’s first time as a villain since last year.
This was a big one. Check out the turn, the aftermath and what Friedman has been doing:
Opinion: This feels like Friedman returning to his natural state and that might be the best option. Friedman is one of the most natural villains in AEW and I’m sure the fans will turn him back the other way eventually. It shows how talented he is, but this is his thing and it should work out well when he is given the chance to be himself. It worked before, so why not do it again?
What do you think of the turn? What is next for Friedman? Let us know in the comments below.
