WATCH: Title Change Takes Place On AEW Dynamite

And new! There are all kinds of things that can take place in wrestling to shake things up in a hurry and you can see them take place on a fairly frequent basis. Some of them are more important or more rare than others, but they still have quite the impact. We saw one of them taking place earlier this week as some wrestlers picked up quite the accomplishment on their resume.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: AEW Collision Results – January 18, 2025

This week on AEW Dynamite, the Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin defeated Private Party to win the Tag Team Titles. This marks their first titles in AEW and Lashley’s first ever Tag Team Title win. The Hurt Syndicate arrived in AEW late last year after originally coming together in WWE as the Hurt Business. Private Party’s reign ends after 84 days.

This was a big one. Check out the title change and the new champions:

Opinion: This is something that almost had to happen, as the Hurt Syndicate had felt like big stars from the second they debuted and Private Party felt like they were in over their heads. The Syndicate picking up the titles makes sense and I could go for seeing what they are going to do with some gold to validate what they have been doing. What matters now is that AEW made the right call and we should be in for a nice reign from the new champions.
