WATCH: Title Change Takes Place In Impromptu SmackDown Main Event

That’s fast. Titles are some of the easiest objects to understand in wrestling as they make the top stars in any promotion rather clear. The wrestlers who have the titles are often the ones who get the most attention and winning a championship is one of the biggest moment of any wrestler. That was the situation again, as some of the most successful tag teams of their generation won a major championship.

This week’s Smackdown saw the Motor City Machine Guns to defeat DIY to become the new #1 contenders to the WWE Tag Team Titles. The Bloodline then came to the ring and said they wanted the title match immediately, with the Guns accepting. Following interference by the rest of the Bloodline, Jimmy Uso, Roman Reigns and Jey Uso, the Guns won the match and the titles. This was the Guns’ third match in WWE after they made their debut with the company last week.

Opinion: That is how you make stars almost overnight, as the Guns weren’t even on WWE TV ten days ago and now they are the reigning Tag Team Champions on SmackDown. What matters is that the team has gone from nothing to established so fast, showing not only that WWE made it happen but also that they did it very well. It’s a great thing to see and now we get to see where things go from here.
