WATCH: The Rock And WWE Release New Footage Of Bloody Cody Rhodes Beatdown

There is more to it than that. WWE has quite a bit of television content in any given week and normally it is enough to cover everything that they have going on. However, that is not always the case and things continue to happen after the show wraps up. Normally this is in the arena, but in this case, it is something that took place outside. Now we are seeing what else happened.

The end of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw The Rock attack Cody Rhodes and leave him bleeding outside of the arena. However, the Rock has now released footage from after the show went off the air via Instagram, showing him continuing the attack on Rhodes. This included attacking Rhodes with a weightlifting belt. An edited version also aired this week on SmackDown.

It was a different look. Check out the attack, the full version and the edited version (note that the Rock’s version contains non-PG language):

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you do not see very often from WWE and it makes things feel that much more special. Having the Rock show a different side of himself like this makes things all the more interesting, as it felt like an instance of the lines being blurred. That’s something that will work well on the way to WrestleMania and now we get go see where it goes at the biggest show of the year.
