And they’re done. Stables have been a major part of wrestling for decades and that continues to this day. You will see wrestlers getting to do something together and it can often open up new doors for their careers. Occasionally these stables can become incredibly successful, but ultimately most of them split up. That is what we saw take place this week after a very long time.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Let’s Light It Up: WWE Having Its Fans Help With This Week’s Monday Night Raw
This week’s Monday Night Raw included the ten year anniversary celebration of the New Day. The celebration included the return of Big E., who has been out of action for nearly three years with a neck injury. Big E. said that he was coming back to serve as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods’ manager in an attempt to end the bickering between the two of them. However, Kingston and Woods rejected the offer, turning on Big E. and saying Big E. had abandoned them. Kingston and Woods said they would call Big E. if they needed him and Big E. left, with the other two saying it was just them now.
That was a lot. Check out the segment, plus New Day in better days:
Opinion: This is one of those things that is almost hard to believe, as New Day has been together for such a long time and now they just aren’t anymore. Having Kingston and Woods turn on Big E. was something I never thought I would see and yet here we are, with the team officially done. I’m not sure if Big E. is ever going to wrestle again, and that makes this even harder to see.
