WATCH: Ted DiBiase Responds To Criminal Allegations Against His Family, Calls Them “Garbage”

It’s a family thing. There are several families throughout the wrestling industry and several of them can become famous for various things they do throughout their careers. At the same time, there are instances where things happen outside the ring that get their names out there again. That is the case for a certain wrestling family today, albeit not in a good way. Now, the most famous member is responding.

Starting in 2022, the state of Mississippi sued a variety of names, including Ted DiBiase and his family, in an attempt to recover over $20 million being wrongfully used. DiBiase’s Heart Of David Ministry is accused of taking $2.1 million, in addition to his sons being accused of taking money as well. DiBiase was asked about the situation at the River City Comic Con and said that the case was “a bunch of garbage” and claimed that his family was being scapegoated for having a famous name. Ted’s son Ted Jr. was officially charged with wire fraud, theft and money laundering in April of this year. He is the only DiBiase to be officially charged.

Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on here with the DiBiase family but it does not seem like it is anything good. One way or another a bunch of people who need help did not get it while someone seems to have taken the money for themselves. Hopefully this whole thing is cleared up, but there is a good chance that it winds up going very badly for the DiBiase family in the end.
