WATCH: Surprise Return Takes Place On Monday Night Raw

Welcome back. A wrestler leaving WWE TV is often not the best news as it normally means that something is wrong. It can also lead to a long absence and the question of when someone will be back. At the same time, there can be some very interesting moments when someone returns after such a long hiatus. That was the case again this week when a surprise return took place.

Matt Riddle made a surprise return this week on Monday Night Raw. Riddle interrupted the Miz, who was talking about how he was tired of the surprises that he was dealing with over WrestleMania 39. After interrupting, Riddle attacked Miz and laid him out, setting up a match between the two next week. Riddle had been out of action since December due to a reported stint in rehab following a failed drug test.

Opinion: This was one of the only surprises on this week’s Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania and at least it was something that went fairly well. I’m not sure what is next for Riddle but what matters at the moment is that he is dealing with his issues. It’s nice to have Riddle back as he is still one of the more popular stars in WWE, so anything he can bring is a bonus.
