They’re back. One of the most exciting moments in wrestling is a surprise return. After a wrestling has been gone for a very long time, it can be quite the moment when someone shows up out of nowhere. It can also work if a wrestler is due back soon but the exact date isn’t known. That was the case this week, as a rather popular WWE star made a return after being out of action for several months with an injury.

Kofi Kingston made a surprise return to WWE TV this week on Monday Night Raw, teaming with Xavier Woods to defeat the Viking Raiders. This was Kingston’s first match since February 24 as he was forced to undergo ankle surgery due to a botched spot during the March 3 edition of SmackDown. During his absence, the New Day were selected to Monday Night Raw during the 2023 WWE Draft.

Opinion: It’s great to see Kingston back in the ring as he has been gone for a good chunk of the year. Kingston is one of the more decorated stars in WWE history and having the New Day back immediately boosts up the tag team scene. They are almost automatically the top challengers due to their resume alone, and now we get to see what is next for the team now that they are back in the ring.
What do you think of the New Day? When will they be back in the title picture? Let us know in the comments below.
