They’re done. There are certain storylines that keep taking place in professional wrestling and that is because they keep working no matter how many times they are used. It makes for a special moment when one of them takes place, as it can invoke quite the emotional response. That is what we saw this week, as a popular star returned and was betrayed in one night.

R-Truth made a surprise return this week on Monday Night Raw, announcing that he had gotten himself and Miz a tag team match against the Authors Of Pain. When R-Truth tagged Miz in, Miz kicked him in the head to turn on him, leading to R-Truth being pinned. This comes after R-Truth had regularly gotten the two of them in matches that the team would lose. R-Truth had been out of action since August 12 when he was attacked by Bronson Reed.

Opinion: This is something that has been built up for a good while now and the turn has finally happened. It makes sense as Awesome Truth did not have much left to do as a team so splitting them up is the logical way to go. If nothing else, Miz is better as a villain anyway and can always be turned back later, as has been the case several times before over the years.
