There are a lot of people involved in putting together a wrestling show and several of them are never going to get the attention that they deserve. It is one thing to have a wrestling match and make things work in the ring, but at the same time, it is only going to get so far without the right people behind the scenes. One of the best ever is moving on but not before a nice tribute.

Following this week’s AEW Dynamite, a special ceremony was held for producer Keith Mitchell, who is leaving the company. Mitchell has worked in professional wrestling for forty years, with stints in World Class Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, Impact Wrestling and AEW. He has worked for the company since 2019 and is now retiring from the industry.

This was a special moment. Check out the ceremony, plus part of some of Mitchell’s final show:

Opinion: Mitchell is one of those names that I can remember hearing back in WCW, with Tony Schiavone asking him for footage from the truck. I know he might not be the biggest name in the industry, but there are a lot of people who never get the credit that they deserve for making wrestling that much better. That is where Mitchell comes into play and it is great to see him get that kind of recognition.

What did you think of the ceremony? Who is a behind the scenes wrestling name who deserves more attention? Let us know in the comments below.
