Sometimes it takes….a towel? Stables are a really easy concept in the WWE because they can accomplish a lot without really needing much effort. Put three or more wrestlers together with some sort of shared trait and everything can work out rather well. That has been the case for a long time, and this weekend saw a fairly special moment between a former team.
On Sunday night, WWE ran a live event in Columbia, South Carolina. One of the matches on the card saw New Day defeat Bobby Lashley and MVP. Either during or after the match, former New Day member Big E. came to ringside in a towel to distract Lashley, allowing New Day to take Lashley out. Big E. then left, holding the towel together on his way out. In a related note, Big E. is currently Mr. Money in the Bank and could cash in his briefcase on Lashley.
This was an eventful one. Check out what happened, plus the people involved:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing I can go for at a live event. It is some goofy fun which you won’t get to see on television, which makes it all the more unique. New Day is as family friendly of a unit as you can get and it is nice to see them get back together, even if it is just for a few seconds. This might not have meant anything long term, but for a one off moment, it was pretty cool.
