Welcome home. As you probably know, NXT is considered the starting point for a lot of wrestlers, at least when it comes to their WWE careers. While things have changed to a huge degree over the last few years with NXT exploding in size and popularity, that has been the idea since the beginning. A lot of people have made it up to the main roster with great success and one came home on Friday.

Welcome home champ. Check out a grand NXT homecoming:

WWE has released a video to their YouTube page of Seth Rollins coming back to an NXT show in his hometown of Davenport, Iowa. Rollins, the reigning Universal Champion, was the first NXT Champion and has made a return to NXT since moving up to the main roster. The video includes clips of Rollins talking in the ring to the audience as well as clips of him backstage talking about

Opinion: This is one of those really cool things that you get in NXT every now and then. Rollins is more than just an NXT legend as he’s also possibly the greatest success story. Having him come back home after all of his success and getting to stand in the ring in his hometown is very cool and something that was probably a very special moment for him. Good for him and cool for WWE for letting it happen.
