He’s in. There have been all kinds of stables throughout WWE’s history but it is rare to find one which dominates for years on end. That is what we are currently seeing with the Bloodline, which has helped Roman Reigns stay on top of the company for almost four years. The stable has had its ups and downs, but now they have gotten one of the biggest ups of their entire history.
This week on SmackDown, The Rock officially joined the Bloodline. This comes after Rock had seemingly formed an alliance with Reigns at the WrestleMania press event last week, as the two had joined forced to deal with Cody Rhodes. Rock said that he made the decision due to the fans rejecting the idea of him facing Reigns at WrestleMania in favor of Rhodes challenging Reigns instead. There is currently no word on when Rock will return to the ring, though WWE may have been teasing a tag match between Rock/Reigns and Rhodes/Seth Rollins.
This could be huge. Check out what happened and how we got here:
Opinion: While this felt like something that had already been set up, it makes a big difference to actually have things made official. The Rock officially becoming part of the Bloodline seems like it is setting the stage for both this year’s WrestleMania and perhaps beyond, as there is a good chance that it could be the start of the road to Reigns vs. Rock. That would still be a huge match no matter how it is set up, which should make for quite the WrestleMania main event down the line, assuming that is where WWE is going.
