WATCH: The Rock Appears On SmackDown, Confronts Roman Reigns

Well hello there. We are on the Road To WrestleMania 40 and that means we are in for some big moments. This can include a variety of guest stars, special wrestlers who are not around very often and major matches with important moments. We seemed to have such a match set up this week on SmackDown, with quite the surprise return setting up what should be a major match.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: One In One Out: Bayley And Cody Rhodes Make WrestleMania 40 Announcements On SmackDown

The end of this week’s SmackDown featured Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes making his decision regarding his title shot at WrestleMania 40. Rhodes said that he would not be facing Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania, as he had been given advice to do something else. Instead, Rhodes brought out The Rock, who stared at Reigns to end the show. There was no match announced, but a graphic for a WrestleMania press event next Thursday appeared to end the show. This comes after Rock appeared on January 1 and teased a match with Reigns, though nothing was announced.

Opinion: While the way the announcement went might have been a bit better, there is something very special about what seems to be a likely Rock vs. Reigns match on the grandest stage of them all. I’m not sure what we are going to be seeing from Rhodes, but there is a good chance that WWE has something else in mind for him for the show as well. Now just make the whole thing work.
