WATCH: Rhea Ripley Makes Surprise NXT Cameo, Puts Over Upcoming Star

Welcome in. We are in the middle of a big change for WWE as NXT is starting to be treated as a third brand again after years of being treated as nothing but developmental. This has involved NXT wrestlers appearing on the main roster and vice versa. That was the case again this week, as one of the biggest stars in WWE made a surprise appearance in NXT, where she put a star over.

Monday Night Raw star and Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley made a surprise appearance this week on NXT. Ripley appeared in two segments involving different people. First, Ripley interrupted Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams, telling Hayes to stay out of Judgment Day business. This comes after Hayes helped Seth Rollins escape from Judgment Day’s Finn Balor on Monday Night Raw. Later, Lyra Valkyria attacked Jacy Jayne after Jayne insulted her. Ripley appeared again, saying that Jayne deserved it and called Valkyria a “bada**.”

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes for a special appearance, as Ripley felt like the biggest star on the show. There is such a presence to her and having her around makes all the difference in the world. If nothing else, having her say something that positive about an NXT name should only do something good for her and I’m curious to see whatever she is up to next, as it should make for a special moment.
