WATCH: NXT Star Taken Down By Masked Attacker At Live Event

It keeps happening. There are certain angles and storylines that have been run for years in wrestling and continue to do so to this day. These angles are still around because they work so well and one of them is a great way to set up a big reveal down the line. NXT ran just such an angle at a live event this week and it could be leading to something big in the near future.

WWE held a live event in Sebring, Florida over the weekend, which included Dani Palmer defeating Stevie Turner. After the match, Palmer was attacked by a masked woman, who jumped Palmer from behind and attacked her before running off. This comes after NXT showed a masked woman watching a recent string of attacks by an unknown assailant. It is not clear if this is part of the same angle or who will be revealed underneath the mask.

Opinion: It would be surprising if this wasn’t part of the same story and that is something that should work well. A good masked attacker angle is always fun and something that can lead to a great reveal. Even if NXT had no idea where the original attacks were going, they can easily tie it all together with one big reveal at the right time. This has a lot of potential and I’m curious to see where it goes.
