Welcome back. One of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler is an injury. They can put someone on the shelf out of nowhere and cut off any momentum that they have going. You never know when someone might be put out of action, which leaves you wondering when they will be back. Another name was back this week after a lengthy injury absence.

Tony D’Angelo made his return to the ring this week on NXT, defeating Xyon Quinn. Following the match, D’Angelo called out North American Champion Wes Lee, who came to the ring until Dijak interrupted the two of them, leading to a fight. This was D’Angelo’s first televised match since the September 14 edition of NXT, when he suffered a knee injury in a match against Lee. D’Angelo wrestled on a live event earlier this week in his first match in nearly three months.
It’s good to have him in the ring again. Check out the match and aftermath:
Opinion: Despite a bit of a rocky start, D’Angelo is somehow growing on me. Yes the character is over the top and goofy, but he is dedicated to what he does and is making it work. Above that though, I’m glad to see him back in the ring as you never want to see someone out of action due to an injury. D’Angelo could become something of a star in NXT and now that he is back, that might be happening soon.
