Hand it over. Titles are some of the most important aspects of any wrestling promotion. Having a championship can help make a wrestler seem like a much bigger star as it shows that they are some of the most important names in any company. It can be an important moment when a wrestler regains a title they have previously lost, which is what took place this week.

The main event of this week’s NXT saw Trick Williams defeat Ethan Page to regain the NXT Title, making him a two time champion. Page had previously won the title at Heatwave in July, defeating previous champion Williams, Shawn Spears and Je’Von Evans in a four way match. CM Punk served as the special guest referee for the match, which was the main event of the first show on the CW Network.

Opinion: This was the big moment that came with the show arriving on the new network and that is something that makes a lot of sense. A show like this needs to have a major moment, which came in the form of a title change. Williams getting the title back is something that felt like it was set up the second Page won it in the first place and here we are again.
