Call it a title change? Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling as they can make wrestlers feel like far bigger players. Being a champion makes fans think that they are seeing one of the top stars in the promotion and someone losing a title can be a big deal. That was the case again this week, but it did not happen in the most traditional way.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Over There: Major Change Coming For Next Year’s AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door

This week’s SmackDown featured a Tag Team Title match as the Bloodline defended the titles against the Street Profits. Before the match, Bloodline leader Solo Sikoa ordered Jacob Fatu to hand his title to Tonga Loa, making him the new champion and partner of Tama Tonga. Sikoa said that Fatu would be promoted to being Sikoa’s personal enforcer. The new champions went on to retain their titles.

This didn’t going well. Check out what happened to the Bloodline this week:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you see take place every so often, but the big story is likely going to be about Fatu not being happy about the change. There is a good chance that Fatu is going to turn on Sikoa one day and what we saw this week very well may be a big reason why. If nothing else, it is good to have Fatu, who is a force all on his own, away from a tag team, which never quite fit in the first place.
