Please don’t be bad. Wrestling is a physical sport and unfortunately there is no way to guarantee that everything will be completely safe. No matter how many years of training and experience a wrestler may have, there is always the chance that something could go wrong in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately that appears to be the case again this week as a nasty mistake took place in a match.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They’re In: Seth Rollins And Cody Rhodes Officially Set For WWE Elimination Chamber In Special Way

Jeff Hardy and Sammy Guevara faced each other in a match taped for this week’s AEW rampage. During the match, Guevara attempted a shooting star press, which hit Hardy’s raised knees. As Guevara landed, his knee hit Hardy in the face. The referee immediately stopped to check on Hardy, though there is no word on his injury status. There is nothing to suggest that Hardy was unable to continue.

This was nasty. Check out the mishap and the two in action elsewhere:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that happens every so often and hopefully Hardy is ok. There is little that can be done in something like this but Guevara’s knee smashing into Hardy’s face is something that should not be happening. At the end of the day, Hardy is laying there waiting on Guevara rather than the other way around and there is not much that he can do other than hope that everything else goes right.

What do you think of the incident? What is next for the two of them in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
