WATCH: Multiple NXT Stars Make Surprise Appearances At TNA Genesis As Part Of New Partnership

Nice to see you? There are all kinds of major wrestling promotions throughout the world but it is rare to see them getting together. It happens every so often and can make for quite the special situation. You know one of these things when you see it happen, and that is what we are seeing again, with several stars from one promotion showing up elsewhere and making an impact.

Multiple NXT stars made surprise appearances at this weekend’s TNA Genesis event. First up, Ashante Thee Adonis appeared on the pre-show, losing to Jake Something. Later, NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom (Nathan Fraser/Axiom) appeared at ringside as the Hardys successfully defended the TNA Tag Team Titles against the Rascalz. Finally, Cora Jade appeared and confronted TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich after her successful title defense against Rosemary. This is part of the new agreement announced between the two companies last week and the crossovers are expected to continue.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that gives some instant interest to TNA as the company now has some bigger names appearing while also giving them fresh matches. I’m not sure how well it is going to go long term, but if nothing else, it gives NXT stars a new audience to work in front of, which can be rather valuable. This was a big start and the idea of Fraxiom vs. some TNA teams is certainly intriguing.
