A knockoff of a parody? Theme music is one of the most important parts of a wrestler’s presentation. Hearing the right kind of music playing to signal a wrestler’s entrance is the right way to put people in the mood for what they are about to see. Getting it right is a very tricky thing to do but when it works, it works very well. Now we are seeing….oh you’ll just have to watch it for yourself.

Back in 1992, Shawn Michaels began using “Sexy Boy” as his theme music. The song, albeit with Michaels singing the vocals instead, has been his entrance song for over thirty years and still is for his sporadic appearances to this day. During Michaels’ 2005 feud with Kurt Angle, Angle performed his own version called “Sexy Kurt”. Angle has shared a video of Mick Foley, standing next to Lita, singing “Sexy Kurt” at an unidentified event. Foley sings the song along with some fans in front of a display of various Angle merchandise.

Opinion: This is one of those things that makes absolutely no sense out of context but for long time fans, it is the kind of flashback that will at least get some kind of a smile. If nothing else, it gives you a reason to watch the Sexy Kurt video, which is still one of the funniest things that Angle did in a career full of hilarious moments. This was a great little surprise and that is where wrestling can shine.
