That didn’t look good. There are all kinds of things that can go wrong during a match and you never want to see one of them happen. One of the biggest problems is someone getting hurt as it can change all kinds of things all at once. Unfortunately that might have been the case again this week as a match had to be stopped when someone got hit in the face.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Up First: WWE Announces New Show Match For Crown Jewel
This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a match between Candice LeRae and Xia Li. Late in the match, Li connected with a spinning kick to the face. LeRae attempted to get up but the match was stopped when the referee determined that LeRae could not continue. LeRae went on to leave the ring under her own power and was shown being checked on later in the show. There is no word on if this is a storyline or legitimate injury.
It was a nasty match. Check out the match, plus the two in other action:
Opinion: The more I see of the clip, the more I think that it was just part of the storyline. The kick looked like a great way to make Li look like a devastating striker, which will do well for her in what appears to be an upcoming match with Becky Lynch. What matters the most is that LeRae is healthy and that seems to be the case, though it would be nice to have that confirmed.
What did you think of the match? How will Li do going forward on Monday Night Raw? Let us know in the comments below.
