WATCH: Legend Receives Standing Ovation After AEW Dynamite Main Event

He does deserve it. There are all kinds of wrestlers throughout history but there are only so many who are able to reach the legendary status. It can mean a lot when they are in the ring and it makes things all the more interesting when they are. If they do something even more interesting, it can lead to some special moments. That was the case this week and the crowd let him know.

The main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite saw Sting and Darby Allin defeat Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara when Sting made Jericho submit. During the match, Sting dove off a ladder in the ring to hit Guevara on a table. However, Sting hit the other table as well, which did not break. Following the show, Sting received a standing ovation from the crowd and implied that the match was his idea.

Opinion: This is something that Sting has earned after all of the years in the ring. The dive was absolutely scary to see live and thankfully he was able to get back in the ring and finish the match. Sting has done rather well in AEW and it is fun to see him out there doing all of his stuff. I could go for something a little less dangerous, but at least he was back up, which is all that matters.
