WATCH: Kevin Owens Makes Amends With Texas Fans In Rather Strange Way

That’s a flashback. Last year at WrestleMania 38 in Arlington, Texas, Kevin Owens faced Steve Austin in an impromptu grudge match in the main event of Night One. The match started after Austin appeared on the Kevin Owens Show to confront Owens over his hatred of Texas. Owens has long since complained about Texas and now he had to deal with the problem in a strange way.

Over the weekend, WWE presented a live event in El Paso, Texas. The main event saw Owens, Cody Rhodes and Matt Riddle defeat Imperium in a six man tag. Following the match, Owens got the microphone and apologized to Texas for his previous statements. Owens then put himself through a table and signed a piece, which he gave away to a fan at ringside.

Opinion: This is one of those things that you do not get to see very often and Owens made it work anyway. He is one of the more entertaining people in WWE today and this is the kind of creative things that you might see in WWE for awhile and it worked well here. If nothing else, Owens did something special for the fans at a live event and gave them a rather special moment.
