WATCH: Kevin Owens Goes On Rant About What He Dislikes About Cody Rhodes (This Is Good)

He isn’t pleased. There are several different kinds of stories in wrestling, with the most successful often being something based on a personal issue. This is the kind of thing that fans can get behind, which is something WWE is focusing on at the moment. In this case, one of the people involved is giving quite the explanation for why he is unhappy with his current situation.

In recent weeks, Kevin Owens has taken issue with Cody Rhodes for teaming with Roman Reigns at WWE Bad Blood. This has led to Owens attacking Rhodes, setting up a WWE Title match between the two of them this coming weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Owens was interviewed by MuscleMan Malcolm to hype up the match, where he listed a variety of reasons he dislikes Rhodes. Here are some of them, with transcription courtesy of Fightful:

On What Bothers Him About Rhodes

“He made his own tracksuit, his own WWE tracksuit with the American Nightmare logo, but he had QB stitched on the breast. He’s going around telling people he was made Quarterback of this era. Nobody is calling him the quarterback except for himself. On television, he talked about how I had a Lamborghini, which, I guess that offends him. He owns his own tour bus and has a driver that drives him around.”

On Rhodes’ Appearance

“He has this bleached hair, bleach blonde hair, which is not his natural color. That’s fine for him. What’s happening is, all over America, I’ve noticed parents bleaching their children’s hair so they can look like Cody. You’ll see it every week when he comes out. These parents are shoving their child at Cody, and they have the jacket and bleached blonde hair.”

And On How Rhodes’ Appearance Is Harming Children

“That’s not good, these chemicals in your kid’s hair. He is promoting an unhealthy habit that Americans, specifically, are putting their kids through. Against their will, I’m sure. No kid is going, ‘Can you bleach my hair so I look like Cody Rhodes?’ That’s not happening. That’s just parents trying to make Cody happy so they can get an autograph or stupid weightlifter’s belt. It’s shameful all around.”

Opinion: This is where Owens tends to shine, as he can go on a rant and make something minor feel like a major event like few others. That is exactly what he is doing here and my goodness it’s amusing to hear him go off like he is doing here. I’m not sure if Owens has any kind of a real change to win the title, but he is making me a lot more interested in seeing him fight Rhodes that I would have expected otherwise.
