WATCH: Kevin Owens Gives Very Unique Reason For Not Challenging Roman Reigns Again

He doesn’t want one? Roman Reigns has dominated WWE by holding the Universal Title for almost three and a half years. The title reign has seen Reigns defeat a variety of challengers, with some of them getting multiple failed shots. Those losses can create some issues for the failed challengers and now one of them has a very interesting response to the idea of another shot at Reigns.

During Reigns’ time as champion, Kevin Owens has received multiple title shots, including at the 2021 and 2023 Royal Rumble events. Owens was interviewed by James Williams and said that he was not attempting to get another shot at Reigns at the moment. His explanation was that he has already had so many shots against Reigns and come up short. Owens said that he is here for the fans and does not think him receiving another shot at the title would be right.

Opinion: That isn’t something you hear very often and the logic kind of makes sense. I can see why a wrestler would want to please the fans and doesn’t feel like he should be getting a title shot, but hearing him actually say that feels way off. Owens is right in that he has gotten a lot of shots against Reigns, but maybe it would have been better to say that he has other things going on at the moment.
