He gets around. AEW has been a huge game changer to the wrestling world over the last few years as it has offered a new mainstream level wrestling promotion. You have not seem something like this in years, but AEW wrestlers are not exclusive to the company. They are able to go elsewhere and make appearances, which can offer some interesting situations. That was the case again this weekend.

AEW’s Jon Moxley appeared at Saturday’s Game Changer Wrestling event where he defeated Matt Cardona to win the promotion’s World Title. After the match, Nick Gage came to the ring to confront Moxley. Later that night, a match between Moxley and Gage was announced for October 9 in Atlantic City. The two have been teasing a match against each other for several months now.

It was a moment. Check out what happened, plus the two in the ring:

Who Walked Away with the NJPW IWGP US Title? Mox or Archer? | AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest 2, 7/21/21

The Painmaker v Nick Gage. Watch the End of the No Rules Match | AEW Dynamite FFTF, 7/28/21

Opinion: This is one of the cool things about AEW. Regardless of your feelings about GCW or Gage, it is pretty cool to have a big star like Moxley show up at a smaller promotion and set up a match that fans seem interested in seeing. Moxley is a big star and it is great that he is able to do something like this. It certainly would not happen in WWE so well done on offering the fans a little something extra.

What did you think of the angle? Which other AEW stars would you like to see make such an appearance? Let us know in the comments below.
