WATCH: John Cena Plays Baseball For The Savannah Bananas (This Is Different)

That’s different. While wrestlers are athletes, they rarely get praise for their physical abilities. It is rare to see wrestlers branching out into a different kind of sport but it can often make for an interesting situation. This might even involve something completely unrelated to wrestling, and now we are seeing that again in a rather unique and even funny way.

John Cena made a surprise appearance for the Savannah Bananas, a baseball team who plays a more comedic version of the game, over the weekend. Cena took an at-bat for the team and knelt down in an attempt to draw a walk, only to strike out. He then charged the mound before congratulating the pitcher. There is no word on when Cena is expected to make a return to WWE.

Opinion: This is one of those things that you get to see every so often and it shows you just how big of a deal it is when a WWE Superstar becomes that prominent of a star. Cena is one of the biggest names in WWE history. It is a cool moment to see Cena getting to do something like this but even more impressive when Cena receives that kind of a welcome. He hasn’t been a full time wrestler in years but is still that big of a star. That’s not bad.
