WATCH: John Cena Finds A Partner To Help Fight The Bloodline At WWE Fastlane

He’s in. We are just over a week away from WWE Fastlane and the card has very few matches announced. There were only two matches set for the show as we came into this week’s SmackDown and one of them was only somewhat complete. There was a spot left to be filled in for a tag team match, but now that spot has been filled as a superstar has returned from an illness.

Last week’s SmackDown saw John Cena sign to face the Bloodline in a tag match at Fastlane, though his planned partner AJ Styles was taken out before he could sign as well. This left Cena without a partner, but this week saw LA Knight return from an illness and help Cena fight the Bloodline off. Knight then signed the contract for the match and will team with Cena at Fastlane.

Opinion: I don’t think Knight being announced as the partner is the biggest surprise but the match being set is what matters most. Knight is as hot as anyone in WWE these days and it is a great sign to see him getting a chance in the main event scene. If he is able to succeed here, there might be something else for him going forward, perhaps in the form of the biggest name in the Bloodline.
