WATCH: Injured NXT Superstar Returns In A Rather Different Way

Well that’s different. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestler but sometimes their overall package needs to be changed. This can be done in a variety of ways, including a change of course for their character. That is not always the easiest thing to do but you know the changes when you see them. Now we are seeing another one and it is quite the hard change.

This week’s NXT featured the in-ring return of Wendy Choo. In her return, Choo featured new makeup which accentuated her eyes and a more aggressive in-ring style. After her victory over Brinley Reece, Choo yelled at other wrestlers who tried to speak to her in the locker room. While Choo had wrestled on NXT LVL Up in April, this was her first appearance on NXT since May 2023 following a knee injury.

Opinion: I’m not sure where this is going for Choo but it is certainly different than what she was doing before she left. Choo was certainly a unique star before she left and now we are getting to see a different version of her, which makes things more interesting. Hopefully this works out for her, as WWE certainly seems to be trying something new with her now that she is back.
